In 2018 we had the privilege of working with the owners of a typical old Melbournian milk bar, who had owned and operated the store for the past 50 years. The store was in desperate need of restoration and owners desired to change the store into a cafe to attract the more modern clientele. However due to the local planning laws a complete change wasn’t possible. We then worked with the owners and he local council to provide a tangible solution, a cafe and organic grocery store. In December 2018, the Phoenician open its doors just in time for Christmas and has been trading well ever since.
